A cracked flashing seam or a wind-lifted ridge cap won't wait for business hours, and neither do we — Roof Repair Smedway sends licensed Hail Damage Roof Repair technicians across Big Sur, CA on the same day whenever it's humanly possible.
Every technician on a Roof Repair Smedway crew earned their spot through years on real roofs in Big Sur, CA, not a two-week onboarding video — that's the difference customers notice the moment we pull up.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
A patched flashing that leaks again in eighteen months costs a homeowner more than the first repair ever saved. That's why our Hail Damage Roof Repair crews follow manufacturer specs on every nail pattern and every underlayment overlap, not just the visible parts.
Every lead technician carries current state credentials before stepping on a ladder.
Storm damage doesn't check a calendar, so neither does our on-call rotation.
Every estimate is itemized in writing so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Technicians dispatched from within Big Sur, CA, not flown in from another region.
Most roof failures don't happen overnight — they build quietly for months before a homeowner notices the ceiling stain that finally forces the issue.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Shingle edges that curl upward have usually lost flexibility, which makes them far more likely to crack or blow off in the next storm.
Small gaps that let light in will let water in during the next heavy rain.
Ceiling stains tend to grow slowly, which is exactly why they're often ignored until the damage spreads.
Energy bills that creep upward without an obvious reason are worth checking against your roof's condition.
Even one missing shingle can let enough water through to rot the decking underneath within a single storm season.
Whether it's a single emergency tarp or a full system replacement, each service below is handled by technicians who specialize in that exact scope of work.
When high wind or hail peels back a section of roofing, our on-call crew tarps the exposed area to stop active water intrusion before it reaches the decking, then schedules the permanent repair.
Every residential estimate walks the homeowner through material options, from standard architectural shingles to impact-rated upgrades.
Flat and low-slope commercial roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water issues before they become structural.
A full tear-off strips the roof down to the decking, replaces damaged boards, and installs a new underlayment and shingle system built to current code.
Scheduled maintenance visits catch loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them into an emergency call.
Specialized repairs cover ice-dam prevention, dormer flashing, and low-slope transitions that standard shingle crews sometimes overlook.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Big Sur, CA.
You get a plain-language explanation of what's actually happening, not just a repair quote.
No verbal-only pricing — every number is documented so there's no confusion at invoice time.
Warranty documentation is provided on completion for both materials and labor.
Crews dispatched from within Big Sur, CA reach most Big Sur calls faster than out-of-area companies quoting a two-week wait.
We'd rather lose a job over an honest price than win one with a lowball number that grows later.
Our installers train on manufacturer specifications for shingles, underlayment, and flashing systems, not just general carpentry.
Every repair and install comes with a workmanship warranty separate from the manufacturer's material warranty.
We've worked with enough adjusters across Big Sur, CA to know what documentation actually gets a claim approved faster.
If a repair is all your roof needs, we'll say so — we don't push a full replacement to inflate the invoice.
We put our workmanship guarantee in writing on every job, so if something about the completed work doesn't match what was agreed, we send a crew back at no extra charge.
If a crew leader finds something during teardown that changes the scope, you'll hear about it before it changes your bill, not after.
We keep multiple crews staged across Big Sur, CA so that a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Big Sur waiting.
If a storm system moves through Big Sur, CA and call volume spikes, we prioritize active leaks first and communicate realistic wait times for everything else rather than leaving people guessing.
